We
strongly recommend that you read the following terms and conditions
of hire.
In using our service, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
Charges
1. The basic hire charge is based on a three day period, covering supply
on one working day, use on the next and return on the third working
day. If the hire is for a weekend, the hire period would be from Friday
to Monday.
2. The hire charge includes cleaning but all items must be rinsed and
free from surplus food and debris. The only exception to this are spit
roasts & barbecues, which must be returned clean, otherwise they
will incur a £10.00 cleaning fee.
3. All hire charges are subject to V.A.T. at the current rate.
Bookings
and Cancellations
1. It is advisable to book your hire items as early as possible to ensure
availability. This is especially important for Summer & Christmas
periods.
2. We are happy to meet any amendments to your order, up to 48 hours
prior to delivery, but please try to give as much notice as possible.
Any amendments to existing orders less than 48 hours prior to delivery
will be subject to an admin charge.
Any additions to your order are subject to availability.
3. Cancellation charges will be levied as follows:~
[a]
Goods collected or delivered will be charged in full.
[b] Cancellation of items within 24 hours of the hire date will be charged
at 50% of the hire charge.
[c] Cancellation of items from 24 hours to within 5 days of the hire
date will be charged at 25% of the hire charge.
Linen
Hire
1. The hire charge includes laundering.
2. Linen should be returned free from all debris, and kept dry, as mould
causes irretrievable damage.
3. All linen damaged by fire, stains and tears will be charged at the
full replacement value.
Electrical
Goods
1. Electrical items not working must be reported immediately to Party
Hire and not touched.
2. We strongly recommend the use of RCD circuit breakers on all hired
items that are used outdoors.
Lost
and Damaged Goods
1. Any goods lost or damaged will be charged at the replacement rate.
If a lost item subsequently turns up, it can be returned to us, up to
two weeks after the hire, for a refund of the replacement charge (this
is subject to an admin charge). After this time no refunds can be made.
2. If for any reason you are unable to check quantities back with our
staff, it is a condition of supply that in the absence of definitive
proof to the
contrary, our count at our premises is final as to both quantity and
condition.
3. Occasionally items that do not belong to us are accidentally returned
to us with our equipment. We will notify you if this happens, and would
ask that you collect your items from our office within TWO MONTHS of
the hire date. If after two months the items have not been collected,
they will be donated to a charity shop.
Delivery
and Collection
1. Should delivery / collection be required this will be at an additional
cost.
2. The charge covers delivery / collection to ground floor sites and
to within a short distance from the delivery vehicle. However, we reserve
the right to adjust the charges should the delivery be deemed difficult
or unreasonable.
3. It is not always possible to deliver your order at a specific time
as our vehicles will follow a pre-determined route. If you would like
a guaranteed specific delivery time i.e. 10.15 hrs or 14.45 hrs for
example, we can arrange this. Please call us for a rate for this service.
4. Any deficiencies or damage in transit must be reported to Party Hire
within twenty four hours of delivery.
5. Items for return must be available on the appointed time and date
for collection. Tables should be folded down, chairs should be folded
down or stacked, and all other equipment should be placed in their respective
containers.
6. A further charge will be levied if a return collection visit is required
or if the items are not in their original containers.
7. The hirer is responsible for the goods from the time of collection
/ delivery until they are checked by our staff, when returned to our
premises.
8. It is the hirers responsibility to gain adequate insurance cover
for the hired items during the hire period.
Payment
1. Unless otherwise agreed, payment shall be made in full at the time
of collection from Party Hire or delivery of the hired equipment.
2. Further to this we ask for a deposit cheque against loss or damage,
which is refundable on return, less the cost of replacement if applicable.
3. Proof of identity may be asked for on larger hires. Please provide
a driving licence and a recent utility bill for security purposes.
4. We accept credit and debit cards, however there is a surcharge of
1.6% for using a credit card. Cash and cheques supported by the appropriate
cards are accepted. We also accept electronic payments direct in to
our bank account (please ask for details).
5. Should you wish to use our services on a regular basis, we can open
a monthly credit facility, subject to trade references.
